These terms apply when you use Buyer Check, a website and web app operated by Slocombe Cars Ltd, trading as Buyer Check, of Burghfield, Reading. By using the site or paying for a full inspection, you agree to these terms.

What Buyer Check is

Buyer Check is a guided checklist tool to support your own judgement when inspecting a used car before you buy it. It is built around the practical checks an experienced technician would carry out on a visual and functional walk-around inspection.

Buyer Check is not a professional mechanical inspection, an AA/RAC-style vehicle check, an MOT, or a warranty of any kind. It does not use diagnostic equipment, does not put the car on a ramp, and cannot detect faults that aren't visible or apparent during a walk-around and short test drive. If you have any doubt about a vehicle's condition, get it inspected by a qualified, insured mechanic before you buy.

Your decision is your own

The BUY, NEGOTIATE, or WALK AWAY result Buyer Check gives you is guidance based on what you tell the app you've found. It is not a valuation, a certification, or a guarantee of the vehicle's condition. The final decision to buy, negotiate, or walk away from any vehicle is entirely yours. We are not liable for any loss arising from a decision made using Buyer Check.

Payment and access

• Buyer Check is a one-off payment of £15.99 per vehicle inspection — it is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
• Once unlocked, your inspection is accessible on the device and browser you paid from. Because Buyer Check doesn't require an account, it cannot currently be accessed from a different device or browser after purchase.

Refunds

If something has gone wrong with your payment or access — for example a technical fault prevented you from completing your inspection — contact us via WhatsApp and we'll sort it out. Because this is a digital product delivered instantly, we don't offer refunds simply because you've changed your mind after completing an inspection.

Your data

Your inspection answers and vehicle details are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what's collected and how it's used.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the service develops. The version on this page is always the current one.
